My photography:  When I try to describe what "type" of photographer I am, or what photography "means", I find the words are as fleeting as the perfect moment of light on a scene. Let me say this - the photos I love most are the ones that bubble up out of my soul.

A little more:  My images have appeared in juried gallery shows in New Mexico. To reach a broader audience, my artwork is on the website maryleephoto.com, where images are available in everything from greeting cards to large format prints.

Images tell a story and stories deserve to be in a book you can hold and touch. I invite you to visit my bookstore. I've created books for a long time, and in 2018 I had a short publishing run of Trees Are My Muse-A Tale of Love and Friendship, which sold coast to coast. "Trees," along with the book A Walk in the Village (The Placitas Project) are both showing at the November 2018 Placitas Artist Series.

I am grateful to all the professionals along the way who have shared their wisdom and insights with me, whether it was by formal instruction or some other means.

I'm a native daughter of Michigan, now living in New Mexico. The two places are like apples and oranges. I love them both.
